Ruth answers. The job is yours.
You call people back from the truck between jobs.
It’s booked before you’re off the roof.

That got stuck with our office manager. I can get it out Friday.

Perfect, I’ll note Friday. Want a copy of the invoice emailed over?
How she learns
Teach her once. She does it your way.
Tell her how you run things, by text or on a quick call. She prices, books, and follows up the way you would, and asks before anything unusual. Think of her as the second brain behind the business.
Only you know how to price a job.
She prices it the way you would.
A new hire takes months to learn your way.
She has it written down from day one.
Something unusual comes up and nobody asks.
She texts you first. You answer with a word.
Emergency calls go first. Mike takes the basements.

From Ruth’s first pilots
“My receipts used to pile up in the truck. Now I take a photo, text Ruth, and get on with my day.”
Dan M. · HVAC company owner
“Being able to send an invoice by text is my favourite part. I can handle it after finishing a job while the details are still fresh.”
Priya S. · Cleaning company owner
“Chasing payments was the task I always put off. Having Ruth handle the follow-up, with my approval first, takes something off my plate.”
Marcus T. · Restaurant owner
“I don’t want another dashboard to check. I just want to know how the business is doing. With Ruth, I can ask.”
Jen L. · Plumbing company owner
“When Ruth isn’t sure about a charge, she texts me while I still remember it. That makes more sense than trying to figure it out months later.”
Carlos R. · Electrical company owner
“I like that I still have the final say. Ruth prepares things, but invoices, emails, and calls wait for my OK.”
Kate W. · Roofing company owner

Questions
Questions owners ask.
What does Ruth do?
Ruth works like an office manager you text. She answers your business line when nobody can and books the job, texts your crew where to be, tracks the materials that go to each job, keeps your books, sends invoices, and chases late payments. When something is outside your rules, she texts you for an OK first.
How does Ruth answer my phone?
Forward your business line to Ruth when nobody can pick up, after hours or all day. She answers, finds out what the customer needs, books the job, texts the customer the time, and texts you what she booked.
Can my crew text Ruth?
Yes. Anyone you add can text her. Your crew tells her what they took from the shop or picked up at the supplier, and she logs it to the right job. They can also ask where they're headed next.
How does Ruth learn my business?
The way a new hire does. Tell her how you work by text or on a quick call: your prices, your customers, who takes which jobs, and what needs your OK. She writes it down and works that way from then on.
What is an AI bookkeeper?
An AI bookkeeper sorts your transactions, files your receipts, and closes your books each month without you doing the data entry. Ruth does it over text: she asks you only about the charges she can't place, and texts you when something is done or needs you.
Is Ruth free?
For two weeks. You get everything Ruth does, for any crew size, with no card to start. If she isn't saving you time after two weeks, we'll send you $150 for trying. After that, Keeper is $97 a month, billed monthly, with no contract.
Do I have to connect my bank?
No. You can text or email Ruth what you spend and earn, and she keeps your books from that. Connecting your bank through Plaid, where it's available, or your QuickBooks gives her more to work with, and both are optional. Bank access is read-only, and she can never move money.
Does Ruth work with QuickBooks?
Yes. Connect QuickBooks Online and Ruth works right in it. She enters the expenses, income, and receipts you text or email her, books each transaction to the right account, adds invoices and sends them once you say yes, and records payments. Your accountant gets books that are up to date, in the QuickBooks they already use.
Does Ruth read my email?
No. Ruth never connects to your inbox. She has her own email address for your business: she emails invoices and reminders to your customers from it, and their replies come back to her.
Is there an app to install?
No. Ruth works over text messages and email, from the phone you already carry. Text her hello to start.
Does Ruth file my taxes?
No. She prepares your sales tax return and keeps books your accountant can work from, and you or your CPA files. She never files anything on her own.
Does Ruth work in Canada?
Yes. Ruth keeps books for small businesses in the United States and Canada, in your own currency, and Canadian businesses pay in Canadian dollars.
Can I export my books?
Yes, on Keeper. You can download your books as Excel, CSV, or QuickBooks files whenever you want.
Put Ruth to work this week.
Text her hello. She starts with your books, then takes on the phones and the jobs as she learns how you work.
